From the beginning of her career, Leiana the artist has strived to show that a true artist’s voice does not simply come from her vocal cords. Now with a full band behind her that is strengthened.
Never giving into the overexposed, over-pronounced sexuality that surrounds most women in rock, Leiana stands up for raw talent and realness over pre-marketed, phony musical “products”.
“There is no need in trying to be who people want you to be. Music allows you to be true to yourself and hold your ground. It is the most powerful catalyst for positive change and energy”. The Philadelphia-based band uses their tracks not only as a grounding point, but as a message to her fans to free themselves from the weight of what is expected of them. “I believe in music’s ability to speak to people, make them want to take action. I also believe anyone has the power to make a real change. Women, specifically, should be able to become who they want, hold their ground and be strong for all the right reasons”.
The latest album, Lucky #3, with collaboration with heavyweights such as Rob Caggiano (Anthrax) and Sean Danielsen (Smile Empty Soul), Brett Scallions (Fuel, the Doors), John Tempesta (The Cult) and Ken Schalk (Candiria), is sure to help her continue breaking ground in the rock world.
